When imaging the everyday,
the photographs adopt an expression or representation in meaning, beyond just denoting its physical nature. Meaning can be interpreted in different ways, for example the photograph of a door handle, could be viewed as suggesting an action to be taken. As could the photograph of the window – connoting for the viewer to peer through. This concept of vernacular enables the viewer to interpret meaning from their own perspective.
